Emver Partners

Built on a belief that access to AI
should not depend on where you live.

This is the flagship program of Northern Academy — a division of Emver Partners. It exists because northern Australia deserves programs built for it. From the Torres Strait and Cape York — where Emver Partners is based and works most days — through to the Kimberley, the Gulf, the Top End and everywhere across the north. Not adapted from somewhere else. Not delivered by people who fly in and fly out for a single workshop.

🔥

We are not here to run workshops. We are here to change what is possible.

Every program Emver builds starts from the same question: what does this community actually need, and what would it take for that capability to stick? Not a checklist. Not a tick-a-box training day. A genuine shift in what people believe they can do.

🌊

Remote northern Australia is not a market. It is a region we are part of.

Emver is based in the Torres Strait and works regularly across Cairns and Cape York — with the experience, logistics and operating model to mobilise anywhere in remote northern Australia. We know the region, the organisations and what is on everyone’s plate. That is not a marketing claim — it is why every scenario in every session is drawn from real operational challenges facing real people in this place.

🎯

AI is not the point. What you can do with it is.

The Academy does not teach technology. It builds capability — the confidence to reach for a tool that was previously inaccessible and use it to do something that matters. That is a different goal. It requires a different program.

The Flagship Program

AI Foundations for Northern Australia is where the Academy begins.

It is the entry point into the Academy — a full-day capability program that produces real outcomes, builds lasting confidence and connects participants to an ongoing support pathway. The Academy will grow. AI Foundations for Northern Australia is where the journey starts.

SETUP

Foundation Setup

+

Before any session begins, participants configure their tool, learn the techniques that make it reliable, and complete a personal setup that improves every interaction that follows — today and after the program ends. Most people skip this step entirely. It is the reason their results are inconsistent.

⚙️
Working setupReady before any session begins

SESSION 1

Foundations of Conversation

+

Your first real AI conversation. This session uses a familiar local subject so participants can immediately judge the quality of what they are getting back — no technical knowledge required. By the end, you understand the single most important variable in using AI well.

You will also see, in context, what happens when AI is asked something it cannot actually know. That moment matters again later in the day.

You will walk away knowing:
  • Why two people asking the same question get very different answers
  • What separates a strong interaction from a weak one
  • Why verifying AI output is a non-negotiable professional standard
SESSION 2

The Voice Bridge

+

This is the foundation session of the day. It removes one of the biggest barriers to professional communication across remote northern Australia — in both directions. Your voice and intent, your message, packaged for the audience it needs to reach.

This session runs early in the day for a reason. People who discover this capability in the first hour bring a different level of confidence to everything that follows.

Two capabilities in one session:
  • Move comfortably between casual and formal written communication
  • Decode complex official documents in seconds
SESSION 3

Decoding the Complex

+

Most people have received formal letters they did not fully understand and either ignored them, worried about them or paid someone to explain them. This session changes that — for any legal, financial or government correspondence, on your own device.

This session also includes a focused module on identifying the kinds of digital risks remote communities are regularly targeted with.

After this session you will be able to:
  • Understand any formal correspondence in under a minute
  • Know exactly what is being asked and the consequences of not responding
  • Identify the warning signs of common digital risks before acting
SESSION 4

Handling the Hard Email

+

Everyone has at least one email they have been putting off. A difficult complaint. A funding follow-up. A message that requires careful wording and you have not had the time or the words to get it right. In this session, you handle it — with confidence.

The skill you take away:
  • Brief AI on a situation so it produces the right response
  • Edit a draft until it sounds like you, not a template
  • Handle difficult correspondence faster and with more confidence
SESSION 5

From Idea to Reality

+

This is the session most participants name as the moment AI changed for them. Not a writing tool — a thinking partner. Bring an idea you have been turning over: a business, a grant, a community program, a problem that has been sitting unresolved. Leave with a plan.

For many people in the room, this is the first time they have had access to this kind of structured thinking support without hiring a consultant.

What you produce in this session:
  • A structured plan for something you actually want to do
  • A clear picture of the gaps and next steps you had not identified before
  • Practical experience of when to trust AI and when to verify
SESSION 6

Running the Meeting

+

End-to-end meeting handling — from preparation through to formal record. The time most organisations spend on meeting administration drops from hours to minutes.

What you will be able to do after this session:
  • Handle the entire meeting lifecycle from one starting point
  • Apply the same approach to board meetings, staff conversations and community sessions
  • Save meaningful time on routine meeting administration every week
SESSION 7

Translation in Both Directions

+

Take any dense policy, funding guideline, lease or health protocol and make it accessible to anyone. Then reverse it — take your plain language version and produce the formal submission a government agency requires.

Most valuable for:
  • Health workers and educators navigating policy and compliance
  • PBC administrators dealing with government correspondence and grants
  • Anyone who needs to communicate formally with government

The 30 Day Challenge Card

Every participant leaves with a physical card. Not a PDF. Not a link. A card that sits on a desk and turns the day into a habit.

4Weeks
14Tasks
<10Min each
1Real output

How it works

The card is structured across four weeks. Early tasks build the reflex of reaching for AI before doing something the hard way. By week four, participants are embedding it into their working routine.

Every task connects directly back to the day. The card is a structured nudge to keep doing what worked.

Week 1Getting Comfortable
Low-stakes, high-repetition tasks. Use AI every second day on something real. Confidence builds quickly.
Week 2Building Confidence
Tasks get slightly harder. Apply to documents and meetings. Social accountability starts.
Week 3Going Deeper
Move from practising to using. Real organisational outputs. Teach one person what you have learned.
Week 4Making It Yours
Embed. By day 30, identify one regular task AI will handle from now on. That is the measure.

The Investment Case

The program pays for itself. Here is what the evidence shows for the three key groups it serves. All sources are Australian.

Government

Optimise efficiency

1 hr/day

saved per public servant in the Australian Government’s own 2024 trial of Microsoft 365 Copilot. 70% improved speed, 61% improved quality.

Microsoft / Mandala, Unlocking the Productivity Dividend of Digital Government, 2025.
The APS AI Plan (November 2025) mandates AI training for every public servant. Staff without these skills are already falling behind a mandatory government-wide standard.
NGOs and Community Organisations

Strengthen governance and reach

20,000+

not-for-profits already supported on their AI journey by the Infoxchange Digital Transformation Hub — covering training, governance and AI certifications.

Australian Government, National AI Plan 2025: Spread the Benefits.
Only 29% of regional organisations adopt AI versus 40% in metro areas (Fifth Quadrant, 2025). The Torres Strait sits in the widest part of that gap.
Small Business

Save hours. Learn in minutes.

$45B

projected addition to the Australian economy from SME AI adoption. Businesses at intermediate AI maturity report an average 61% gain in operational efficiency.

Deloitte / Amazon, The AI Edge Report; NAIC 2025.
Over one third of Australian SMEs have already adopted AI. The sessions in this program take minutes to learn. The hours they save start the next day.

Each option is priced per participant. Available for individual enrolments and group bookings at the same rate.

Motivation and Accountability

Building any new habit is hard. The program includes deliberate tactics — milestone celebrations, peer nudges and honest check-ins.

What makes remote AI
training hard to get right.

✈️

Fly-in, fly-out delivery

Programs delivered by people who do not know remote northern Australia. Participants disengage when examples are not relevant to their actual work.

🖥️

Online-only formats

Connectivity across remote northern Australia is variable. Online programs that work in metro Australia frequently fail under real local conditions. In-person removes this variable entirely.

📚

Theory without application

Most AI training teaches concepts. This program produces real outputs from the first session. Participants who leave without tangible results rarely continue.

🌏

Mainland templates

Programs designed for urban corporate audiences assume infrastructure and baseline literacy that simply do not exist at the same level across remote northern Australia.

📅

No follow-through support

Most participants revert to old habits within two weeks without structured support. The 30 Day Challenge Card and 30-Day Support Program exist to prevent this.

📍

Missing local trust

Community and organisational buy-in requires a facilitator with existing relationships and credibility. Emver is based in the Torres Strait and works regularly across Cairns and Cape York, with experience that applies across all of remote northern Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions we get from buyers, decision-makers and prospective participants. Don't see your question here? Email academy@emver.com.au.

Where can this program be delivered?+

Anywhere in northern Australia. Emver Partners is based in the Torres Strait and works most days across Cape York and Cairns — that is the operational home of the program. But the delivery model, logistics and operational experience apply across the whole north: the Kimberley, the Gulf country, the Top End, the Pilbara, FNQ and remote Queensland. Group bookings include travel costs quoted separately. If you are in the north, this program can come to you.

Who is AI Foundations for Northern Australia designed for?+

The program is built for business owners, PBCs, NGOs, community organisations, government staff (local, state and Commonwealth), health workers and educators across northern Australia. It is designed for mixed literacy and non-technical participants. It is not a developer course or a theoretical introduction to AI concepts.

How much does the program cost?+

Pricing is per participant. The 1-Day Program is $895 per person, including morning tea, lunch, materials and certificate of completion. The optional 30-Day Support add-on is $795 per person. The Full Program (1-Day + 30-Day Support) is $1,490 per person — a $200 saving compared to purchasing separately. Group bookings are available at the same per-person rate, with a minimum of 10 participants. Travel costs for delivery outside the Torres Strait are quoted separately.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of participants?+

Each session is limited to a maximum of 12 participants to ensure every person gets individual facilitator attention. The minimum for group bookings is 10 participants, or the equivalent fee for smaller groups.

What do participants need to bring or prepare?+

Participants need to arrive with a free AI app installed (ChatGPT or Claude) and an account ready to use. This is a strict prerequisite — without it, you cannot participate. Setup support is provided by Emver in advance of the program day.

Does the program include any post-training support?+

Yes. Every participant receives a physical 30 Day Challenge Card with 14 structured tasks to embed AI into their working routine over the four weeks following the program. An optional 30-Day Support add-on is also available, which includes dedicated email support, a weekly challenge email, and a weekly 30-minute Microsoft Teams session with your Emver facilitator.

Is the certificate of completion recognised?+

Each participant receives a printable Certificate of Completion representing 7.5 CPD hours. The certificate is suitable for professional development acquittal with relevant bodies and employers. The program aligns with the Australian Public Service AI Plan 2025 capability requirements.

Why is the program in-person only?+

Connectivity across remote and regional northern Australia is variable. Online programs designed for metro Australia frequently fail under real local conditions. In-person delivery removes this variable entirely — and it allows the facilitator to give every participant individual support throughout the day. This is one of the reasons the program is built specifically for this region.

How does this differ from other AI training in Australia?+

AI Foundations for Northern Australia is the only program designed specifically for delivery in remote and regional northern Australia. Every example reflects the operational reality of the region. The facilitator is locally based — not flown in. The price ($895 per person) is at or below the market rate for comparable corporate AI training, with no fly-in travel costs for delivery in the Torres Strait. The program is built on over 20,000 hours of work across the region by Emver Partners.

Can the program be tailored for a specific organisation or sector?+

Yes. Group bookings include tailored examples drawn from your organisation's context, team-based exercises using real challenges your team faces, and shared outputs the whole team walks away with. This means the program produces aligned capability across your organisation, not just individual learning.

Is this suitable for executives and managers?+

AI Foundations for Northern Australia is a practical capability program for all roles. A separate dedicated leadership-focused program — Strait Approach to Leadership — is in development for executives, managers and board members specifically. Email academy@emver.com.au for current information.

How do I enquire about a group booking?+

Email academy@emver.com.au with the number of participants, your location, and a preferred timeframe. We will respond within two business days with a tailored proposal including travel costs and any organisation-specific customisation options.

Have a question we haven't answered?

Email us directly. We respond to every enquiry within two business days.
